'Swing Batter Batter' was the ultimate combination of action, dialogue, and perspective. I decided to create a scenario where Hellraiser taunts and runs away from Olive, using a Scout voiceline from the Team Fortress 2 game. This is one of my favorite pieces so far, as I think it demonstrates my animation skills at their fullest capacity. My posing, timing, drag, lip sync, and overall acting are all extremely strong here! An in-depth acting exploration and smear-frame practice. For this shot, I used the 'Meatgrinder' clip from Twitch streamer Jerma985 (his out-of-context clips are an excellent source for finding voice lines to animate cooky characters to, highly recommend!). I'm super happy with how this turned out! The key poses are very expressive, and making the whole piece come together with a background, shading and multiply layer really brought the scene to life. A scene I created from the ground up for my Harmony short film: Penny and the Sugary Scheme! This shot shows Penny throwing a bit of a tantrum after her bullets failed to damage the vending machine. Afterwards, she hears police arriving, causing her to suddenly panic. I really enjoyed the smaller motions in this one, especially the subtler acting and hair drag. Animating the gun being thrown was fun to do as well! All aspects shown here were created by me, including the animation, rig, and background!

Some mime acting practice to help improve my posing and expressions. For this animation, I wanted to create the classic scenario where a character leans too far back after dozing off in class. I'm especially proud of the extra details here, such as the desk movement and the incorporation of my own background! The penultimate scene for my Harmony short film: Penny and the Sugary Scheme! In this scene, Penny tries desperately to get the candy out of the vending machine, which eventually leads to her downfall… Getting Penny to move the vending machine back and forth was an interesting challenge, but I think I pulled it off well! The animation turned out to be a unique action piece that fits perfectly at the end of my demo reel. All aspects shown here were created by me, including the animation, rig, and background!
